Our screening process only takes into account the answers that your employee provided in the survey, while agencies have access to all the government records that pertain to qualification. If an employee indicates that they are on two different programs, our system will record the highest tax credit of the two. However, the state agency might only have records of the employee being on one program, changing the potential amount. The length of time that the employee is on the program is also a factor in this.
Therefore, it is possible that our survey would indicate an employee qualifies for an amount of $2,400 but the state would find they qualify for a larger credit, or vice versa.
